Blake Whitney Thompson
Mr. Stevens recently joined Blake Communities as President. In this role, Stevens will oversee all existing communities and develop new opportunities through his extensive connections throughout the US.
Prior to joining Blake Communities, Stevens served as the Vice President of Operations and General Manager for the Tampa Division of Newland Communities, a national master plan real estate developer. At Newland, Stevens managed the operations for 3 out of 4 master plan communities in the Tampa division totaling over 4,000 lots, 1,000 multifamily units and 400,000 square feet of commercial real estate. Stevens handled the master planning, amenity creation, and negotiated with multiple builders for the disposition of finished lots and entitled land.
Prior to Newland, Stevens worked as the National Vice President of Land for both private and public builders, negotiating over five hundred million dollars in land purchases and development operations. Stevens holds a B.S. from Southern Connecticut State University and a Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
Mr. Shearer is tasked with overseeing all approved residential investments and the teams associated with them. He also serves as a member of the Blake Investment Partners Investment Committee and is a Director at Heatherland Homes.
Shearer has successfully led an internal five-year campaign to make BLAKE the most organizationally efficient, technologically-advanced and financially sound developers in the space. While his focus has been operationally focused, Shearer has doubled the number of homebuilders that call BLAKE their developer and created an off balance sheet financial tool available to all of the company’s builders.
Prior to joining the BLAKE family, Brent worked at Situs Holdings, a third party underwriting and due diligence firm. In his role with Situs, he was involved in over 100 commercial real estate transactions, totaling over $3.0 Billion closed transactions with CMBS lenders including UBS, Rialto, Bank of America, and Cantor Fitzgerald. Shearer holds a B.A. in Real Estate from the University of Georgia and an M.S in Real Estate from Georgia State University.
